Dumfriesshire representatives David Mundell and Oliver Mundell said they had a very positive discussion at Arla's Cheese Factory site in Lockerbie.
The MP and MSP were given a tour round the site as well as meeting with management to discuss future operations as well as the oncoming challenges set to be occurred by Brexit.
The representatives pledged their support for a major employer in the region and hoped to visit again soon.
Commenting David Mundell MP said: "This was an extremely positive meeting with staff at Arla, who do so much to boost the local economy and I was pleased to be able to pay a visit to the factory.
"There were many fruitful discussions about how operations can be taken forward in the coming years as well as the opportunities and challenges that will come with Brexit and there was a real willingness to achieve all we can for local people.
"Promoting jobs and local businesses is always my top priority as the local MP and with the dairy industry so vital in Dumfriesshire, it is businesses like Arla that will be at the forefront of my mind when working to achieve the best Brexit deal."
Oliver Mundell MSP added: "Arla's factory is absolutely vital for local jobs and the local economy so it was good to hear first hand of the plans that the company have going forward in the area.
"We all recognise there will be challenges surrounding Brexit, but I was very pleased during the discussions to hear of such a positive outlook to seize on the opportunities for the industry as well.
"It is vital we continue to support the staff at the factory in the coming years as well as the industry as a whole across the region and in my role as a MSP, I will be looking for the Scottish Government to use the economic powers they have at their disposal to support the Dumfriesshire economy."
